Magic Kingdom - There was no one to help. All the answers we got was sorry.

Every ride we have gone with our kids kept saying they have technical difficulties. Then you wait in line for 2 hours and they will only let people with genie pass.

Then they will tell you sorry they are not operating due to technical difficulties!! We wasted all our money and the time in line to barely do anything. Went to the blue umbrella they said sorry may be you can go to the office upfront and talk to the manager.

Kids were tired from waiting and didnt get to do anything and didnt get to see Cinderella, or even go on the rides they really wanted to go were temporarily out. It was such a bad experience.

Do i need my drivers license?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After a long period of waiting with customer service, decided to walk to purchase tickets. After an hour and half because i didn't have my drivers license, they finally agreed to let us all in. Get to monorail, sit for approximately 15-20 min., They tell us its broken and we have to get on a different monorail. It took two trips as their were alot of people! FINALLY, get into park 2 1\2 hours later, 3pm, only to find out the park closes at 6pm. We all got to ride two rides and then we had to leave! So basically we all paid $50 a ride! No thank you. I will recommend and go to Unniversal Studios instead.

Left drivers license home. Eventually, got our tickets to enter. However, after we finally wasted so much time to get in, we got on monorail, and sat for 15-20 min. only to be told that it was now broken down and we had to wait for another monorail, which took 2 of them because there was so many people. FINALLY, 2 1\2 hours later we enter park. It is now 3 pm and the park closed at 6 for Holloween Special. We got to ride 2 rides and we had to leave. Basically, we all paid $50 per person per ride. I will stick with and recommend Unniversal Studios from now on!!!

So disappointed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Disney, you’ve missed the mark. We came to Orlando 5 years ago and thought the customer service and overall experience was top notch. 5 years later, I can’t belive how bad the fast pass process was and how absolutely dangerous the fireworks show was last night. The fact that you demanded people to squeeze together and let people in at the last minute after many had been there for hours shows that you are insensitive to your customers and all you care about it is emptying wallets at any cost - even if that means sacrificing the safety of your guests. We will NOT be back. So disappointed. Contrast our experience with the 4 days we spent at universal studios - they are doing it right. You should secret shop your competition, but more importantly secret shop your own parks. You might just agree with me and do something really magical - like listening to your customers who vote with their wallets!

Before I get the vehement defenders of the Mouse, please pause and really read. I have done the Magic Kingdom 17 times total in my life. Some experience were better than others. This will be my last visit. This isn’t my first Disney rodeo. I do my research. Non-peak crowd day, check. Reservations in advance, check. Anticipate even low crowd day long lines and delays, check. Do rides break down sometimes, yup they sure do. In today’s climate, do we need security, bag checks and metal detectors, yes we do. None of these were very troubling. Even cost for premium parking, 40 dollars is worth it. So. Why am I complaining? I won’t say Walt is rolling in his grave. No one cares and it is set constantly. The bottom line of this review/ complaint, and no I do not demand a refund, I am no more or less important than anyone else. I have just outgrown it. Yes, I waited in long lines. Only road 4 rides the whole day. Saw no characters. Due to labor laws, of course they are not out like Disney of the 80’s. Not gonna moan about that. What appalled me and why this is my last visit: Have nothing against the disabled. I was smacked into by 2 different scooters. Ok, things happen. I saw no less than 5 different children PLOWED by scooters. This is now a trend. Strollers bowling people over. Screaming, vulgar people willing to heel spike a 4 year old to get literally 2 inches closer to destination. Foul language. Tired, understandably grumpy staff. Rude “I want it now “people. Garbage overflowing on Main Street. Dirty bathrooms. Body odor in cramped place. A pregnant woman standing on the monorail, when 3 perfectly able young men sat. Im female and I stood so she could sit. Just plain ugliness of the crowds. It dawned on me, my epiphany, I just paid a whacking big bunch of money, planned for months in advance, to go to a glorified shopping area filled with rude people with the greedy gimmies. Some of this is on Disney. Standards have dropped. The park used to have a dress code. Now, you can count the pubic hair on pants so tight. The park used to be pristine clean. Not anymore. They can’t keep up with the crowds. Foul language used to get you quietly reminded not here. Not anymore. Yell as foul as you want. Little kids, and their wonder at everything used to be fun to watch. A 4 year trucking through, smiling and enjoying. Now, that four year old gets smacked, stomped, hit in head with purses, bags, scooters, other strollers. It is a shame. So Disney, yes it is your fault you dropped standards in behavior and cleanliness. It is a money maker, always was. Maybe it always was like this and I viewed it through rose tinted eyes of extreme youth. (I’m 35 now). And I don’t blame Disney for not caring about complaints. They won’t get my money again, but there are 50000 people just in the last hour whose money they did get. I just choice not to spend money on lower customer service, very nasty behaved crowds and the privilege to shop for over priced items. It just isn’t for me anymore. My only request of Disney, which let’s face it, no one cares , or should, is bring back the making people accountable for their behavior. Make a human traffic flow with scooter lane and stroller lane if you must. If staff see someone blurting out foul words, or plowing down a child, ask them to leave. *** cite someone for throwing trash on the ground. You are a township with your own police. Use it. Ok, let the trolls and the “how dare you’s “begin!

OP you do have some valid points but a lot of your complaint is truly about the PEOPLE. I myself have been to the house of mouse a few times long ago and with the exception of the horrible air quality the experiences were pleasant.

However what YOU are expecting Disney to do is wholly outside their ability to do and remain profitable. Yes, watching fat entitled sloven individuals run over children is wrong but WHO do you think taught them? Running over children, foul mouthedness, not giving over your seat, these are ALL basic failings on each and every one of those individuals families. I was FORCED to read Ms.

Emily Posts book on proper etiquette and manners. Before I was ever allowed to eat out at a restaurant with the family once I had the ability to read, I had to read that book. Now no one truly expects a 6 yr old to understand some of the concepts in said book but it DID make a impression on me for the rest of my life. The real trouble is WE as a nation have moved away from common manners.

Please and thank you are looked at as if you are giving sarcasm. Holding a door for a lady is considered sexual harassment. Now a days people just refuse to show basic manners. So all of the events explained by you are literally events that WILL get Disney sued.

Each and every instance some snowflake can and would initiate a lawsuit if Disney insinuated their belief structure upon them. Disney won’t lose money on lost customers and lawsuits. They would rather grit their teeth and deal then face the potential loss of profit NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL WE LEARN TO HOLD OURSELVES RESPONSIBLE! We need to be better people and we need to have better manners.

Until this happens NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING is going to change for the better.

It’s a systematic failure of the parents and a complete departure from basic manners expected in ANY part of the civilized world. All any of us can do is lead by example and teach where we can.

We go several times a year and I have never seen garbage on the streets or dirty restrooms, but I am 100% on board about the scooters and strollers. Not all of course, but many people are using these when they have no legitimate need and also using them as a way to get around the park quickly without regard for who they run into or possibly hurt.

It's insane! I would personally like to see Disney crackdown on these folks for sure.

We have also never had a rude cast member, in all our years, but I'm certain it happens and would hope those complaints are listened to and dealt with.

I am always interested to hear someone only got on 4 rides.

That seems so odd to me with the fast pass system that is free for everyone to use.

We have been during peak crowd times and off peak times and never left without at least 3 additional fast passes used above the 3 we got in the first place. I do know that this can sometimes just be luck of the draw though.

I hope Disney takes these types of complaints to heart because everyone should be able to have a wonderful experience.

MattD78

Honestly I am a huge Disney fan, an annual passholder and have even worked at Disney. I personally have not experienced these same issues, but that doesn't mean you didn't experience them.

You have some good points and issues Disney does/should have addressed. Also you show great self actualization and maturity by realizing the complaint of one person may not change things. You don't expect Disney to suddenly bow down to you over a bad experience, kudos. But they should still take notice.

And truly you did everything right regarding looking at crowd calendars and reservations, something many other people on this site could learn from.

So yeah, it sucks having a bad experience and it sucks you feel you can no longer enjoy something on the level you used to. But this is still a good review and I hope draws the attention of the right people.

Wetzel Uyl

I agree 100 percent! place is swarming with self entitled animals with disregard for others.

and suddenly , every special snowflake is adhd(fake diagnosis means parental fail) , autism spectrum ( fake, autism is real, spectrum is an excuse) overly fat people in scooters (not talking about people with true musko skeletal disability or disease) and latino women in excessily tight clothing and ethnic teens screaming " you trippin *** U trippin ho" . and yes, the black youth groups and the latino groups are by far the worst.

Your just a hateful racist. My family go to Disney at least 3 weeks a year for the past 20 years, not once have I seen what you are describing.

It has gotten overly crowded, but I take notice on how nice the people are.

Not only do we notice the nice atmosphere of the crowds there we also notice that you can leave your baby stroller filled with expensive items you've bought for the day and no one will touch them. Complain about the price going up so high that people can't afford to go, complain about not seeing characters anymore, but your complaint is so outrageous it's laughable.

Pricilla52, you are exactly why people like the above complain. who the *** leaves a strolled filled with crap blocking other people's way?

ten bucks says you are one of those obnoxious crowd people. Original poster has reasonable compliants.

Six year old granddaughter, CRIES when she does not see NOT ONE Disney character.

I took my granddaughter to Magic Kingdom for the first time. July 3, 2014. We traveled from PA in a car for 16 hours. She was so looking forward to seeing the Disney characters. We saw Pluto running past. We called for and autograph but he kept running. We went to each and every mark on the map to where the characters could be found. We DID NOT see one. When it was time to leave she made it clear to everyone around us. With the crying and even a scream. I did see or get NOT ONE autograph. Why did we even come here? How do you explain to a child that her dream is not coming true? 5 tickets and a weeks pay for gas lost. That makes me not happy.

Evil Disney psychopaths rude for no reason

I was a guest driving down to park at magic kingdom. As I was driving to the front a large group of disgusting white Disney evil guests were getting off a tram. There were about 30 People. Any normal people would have let me Driven through but these horrible white ugly nasty American families began just yelling at me for no reason. It was not only my right of way but I would have had to wait like five minutes to let these lazy jerks wall through. But they can't let a car drive thru without harassing a woman. Why? Because I'm pretty and they are ugly jealous people who have to mob style Bully women. They began screaming. Really??? GO TO ***!!!! rather. Than just let me drive thru peacefully white Disney guests harass and bully innocent women driving through in their cars trying to park. Again these people were just at the edge of the crosswalk and it took me not even a second to drive my car through but these horrible ugly white people mothers fathers began screaming at me. Th deserve to be smacked just for bullying random drivers. This is the mentality of Americans these days folks. They are insane nurcases evil even Disney guests returning from a vacation harass safe and good drivers for no reason!! Again they found it ok to let a driver wait ten mins to let their lazy *** walk through rather than let them drive through. Shame on ugly white families out there hope their kids turn out to be drug addicts.

...crosswalk or not, pedestrians always have the right-of-way. If you don't know that you should probably NOT be driving - and you insinuate you're a safe driver too.

And wtf does being white have anything to do with anything? So you're racist and a *** driver.

Rude disney workers, bad attitudes, aggressive crazy

disney workers are usually nice but sometimes these jerks can be rude and aggrsesive. i went to disney lately and dealt with many rude workers at the magic kingdom. at astro orbiter the psycho female angrily snatched my ticket from me and yelled at me for no reason. i was bullied at animal kingdom by two crazy workers near the parade and one indian female. one magic kingdom monorail worker almost tried to trip my friend and me and stuck his leg out, he was a chubby white male. these are crazy people that work there. also they try to yell in your ear sometimes on the rides ie the operators as youre getting out. disney usually has ok cast members but there are some really nasty *** ones out there. disney really sucks and they hire really trashy jerks to work in their *** park where they rip everyone off anyway

Really now, people work there to waste time and money and have fun. I knew someone who worked there but was such a blowoff job.

John N Mzy

So, what did you do when these incidents happened? If you did nothing instead of making a scene, yelling for a supervisor, etc.

then stop complaining about them and look to your own actions---or inactions in this case.

If Disney cast members were really rude to you, then Disney needs to know, not read about it on this website. I suspect you are not giving us the real facts.

Magic Kingdom is a rip off.

I took my two children to The Magic Kingdom monday July 25th, 2011, luckly for them they got to see it for the first and last time. I will never be back and firmly believe if Walt were alive he would not want that experience for anyone. You can litterly walk and hit a ride every five minutes but wait an hour or two before getting on a ride. They let too many people in this park for the rides they offer. Really an huor wait for tea cups. This whole park is a scam, there were so many places to purchase over priced foods and merchandiase but almost no entertainmant in the park. We even waited an hour and a half to meet Mickey and Minnie in a small room which we were cattle called into 15 at a time. Horrible expeirence.

My wife and I took our kids many times to WDW and now go ourselves twice a year from the midwest. You need to do some planning and observing while in WDW.

For example, get there when it opens; get a fast pass for the ride(s)you really want to go on; never wait in line an hour---there is far too much to do elsewhere. Every time we go we always remark on seeing/doing something we had not done before---always a new experience. But, yes, the food is expensive, especially if you have a couple of rugrats. Check out the dining plan.

We recommend it highly. The caliber/quality of WDW employees seems to be declining the past few years, due mainly to their propensity for hiring young people. The older staff are still always wonderful.

I suspect Disney is cutting corners by not vetting the younger workers before hiring them. But, compared to any other park, WDW is still the best---tho it certainly can get expensive.

Guest

Wow...the Magic Kingdom is busy for a reason. I think you need to see the glass half full side.

Relax and enjoy the time with your kids!

Try better planning with something like TouringPlans.com or visit the DIS boards. Time of year, time of day, weather, and Fast Passes all play a huge roll in cutting wait times.

Walt Disney World Railroad

I live in Florida and have been to Disney World a lot. However, this time I feel as though I have been Stroller Discriminated. In Frontier Land you have th option of going on the WDW Railroad that goes around the entire park. I have been on this train ride a million times. However, this time when entering the WDW Railroad Train with a stroller the only way to bring your stroller to the top of the station is to use the exit down hill Wheel Chair ramp. By the way this was the way we exited the train when we got off at this stop. So, later when we return to get back on there at the top of the station after using the exit wheel chair ramp were we told that we had to exit back down and to either leave our stroller at the bottom of the ramp and then would have to come back and pick it up. However, we were leaving the park. Or to remove our son from the stroller at the bottom of the ramp and fold stroller and have my husband carry this thing up a flight of stairs. I then asked if we could leave the stroller with the other wheel chairs at the top of the station and we were told no. We were not looking to cut in line as I think they were thinking. My beef with Disney is the fact that I was not accommodated for the fact that I have a stroller and that I could not use the ramp to enter the train station. The only accommodating thing they have is either to leave your stroller and come back and get it or lug it up a flight of stairs. On top of that as we were exiting the wheel chair ramp a family was at the end of the ramp with a person in their family who was in a wheel chair and also had children in a double stroller as well. They were told that the wheel chair could use the ramp and that the stroller had to be folded up and they had to enter the stairs with everyone else. That is not right either. I feel that is worse than my case. I believe that if you have a family member that needs to use a wheel chair and I also have to use a stroller for my kids and we are in the same family I should be able to use the same ramp and stay with my family members.

After reading a bunch of posts, it seems that people get mad at disney and disney employees for enforcing the rules. When you buy a ticket, and enter the parks, you are entering a world of rules.

with out order and rules, there is chaos. People throw the BIGGEST *** fits when they don't get their way and have to follow the rules. I'm so over it. and people like you being upset because you had to fold up your stroller.

It's a fire hazard. get over it..

Disney World needs a serious wake up call in regards to its lagging customer service. Its no surprise though, WDW in Orlando has been going downhill for quite a while now. You would be better off going to Universal Studios.

Guest

Well im here to tell you from experience..being a WDWRR Cast Member Myself that if u hav a stroller u should expect some sort of problem no matter where u go...they are always in the way, people are careless with them...and most of the time their not needed...if your children can walk...they should be walking...if they cant walk yet..its a different story but dont blame the fact that you were inconvenienced on your stupidity...and to call it discrimination is absolutely retarded...YOU chose to bring a stroller so deal with it....

Guest

I encounter Numerous incidents of this nature during my recent visit, dec 25-jan 1...it seems the disney cast member are now going OUT of their way to make things hard for the guests now..
